Award-winning prog/alt-rock band HATS OFF GENTLEMEN IT’S ADEQUATE combine a celebration launch concert for their seventh album “The Light Of Ancient Mistakes”, Malcolm Galloway and Mark Gatland’s combined centenary year, and a belated 10th anniversary of the band’s first album ‘Invisible’ (2012).
The special Sunday lunchtime and afternoon event takes place at London’s newest and most exciting venue THE CAMDEN CLUB (opposite The Roundhouse in Camden/Chalk Farm). Cabaret-style seating with gourmet ‘Burger Bites’ table service – please support the venue by buying food and drinks as this keeps venue hire prices down, enabling bands to play here. Tables are unreserved; get here early for the best in the house!
Doors open 1pm. Before the music starts there will be a Q+A session with Malcolm and Mark about the new album. If you have any questions you’d like answered, feel free to email them to the band via their website www.hatsoffgentlemen.com
Support is from THE WOOD DEMONS: Prog rock infused with pastoral folk-rock and folk-psych, combining strong melody and lyrics alongside the band’s distinctive violin, retro keyboard sounds and soaring guitars.
Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate will then be doing two 45-minute sets, which will be very different from any other gigs they are doing this year. As well as featuring songs from the album – including a world premiere – there will also be songs from every one of their seven albums, and some other rarely played tracks from their extensive catalogue. Kathryn Thomas will be joining them on flute for this very special gig.
